Uncle Marlyn was a wonderful person. As a kid I remember going fishing with him and my dad. I remember when he and aunt Grace lived in Winter Haven, Florida with their young daughter Ginger. I would ride my bicycle or walk over to their house. I am glad that I visited him and Grace at their current home a couple times. I enjoyed talking to him when he called just to see how I was doing. I too would call and ask about his hunting success. He will be greatly missed. Glad to have him as a relative. R.I.P.

Ginger and family, While your hearts are broken, there is also surely peace knowing your sweet dad was given eternal rest from his sickness and suffering. Many things we do not understand in life but when we have hope, trust and faith in Jesus Christ, we can receive comfort that only he can supply to sustain us. May each of you find greater strength each day to carry you through this time of sadness. I will continue you all in my prayers.

Uncle Marlyn,
May your journey in the afterlife be as joyous and fulfilling as the wonderful life you lead here with Aunt Grace and Ginger. Reunite with everyone that has moved on and is waiting for you and give them a big hug for me. Try to relax and take a little break before you get your hands on some of all the wood you've dreamed about ever working with, then make another great piece like you've always done. You are a rare man and have set the bar very high and are an example of holding God's hand to walk through the trials and tribulations of life and working hard to succeed at anything you have done. Well done old boy, well done. I hope that I can just reach the steps for what you've done in life. Watch over Aunt Grace, Ginger and the rest of us. All my love, Billy

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and offer my sincere condolences. In the time to come, may you be comforted by your many memories and God's promise to be near to us when we feel brokenhearted and to permanently end pain and suffering. (Psalm 34:18; Revelation 21:4)

Marlyn was truly a picture of God's love. He was such a loving soul always with a smile and encouraging word. I truly enjoyed the once a year "day" I got to spend with him and Grace at the Pointer/Thompson reunion. Even though he wasn't able to come the last couple of years he and Grace were always remembered in our prayers.
My prayers are with the family as they pay tribute to a Beautiful Child of God. May you find solace knowing he is resting in the arms of Jesus.

Oh what a kind sweet soul. He was truly a delight. Always a smile ready for all. He will be sorely missed. The warmth extended from both he and his wife and the love you could feel between them was a real treasure. May God be with all as you go down this path. I have been praying for you and will continue to do so. So glad that there is no more pain for him!

Mrs. Grace and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Thompson's passing. It was my honor and privilege to write a couple of articles on his woodworking and beautiful creations. He was always so kind and made me feel right at home. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
