Ronald is a native of Toombs County and resides in the Center Community. He graduated from Lyons Senior High School in 1982 and Gupton-Jones Mortuary College in 1987. Ronald started his funeral service career over forty-four years ago, with Cooper Funeral Home in Lyons and later managed Murchison Funeral Home in Vidalia before founding the funeral home in 2008. He is a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Lyons. He is also a member of the Vidalia, Lyons, and Inman Creek Masonic Lodges, Vidalia Kiwanis Club, Lyons Lions Club, Sons of the American Revolution and Georgia Funeral Directors Association.  


Traci T. Brown

Traci is a native of Toombs County and resides in Johnson Corner. She is a 1985 graduate of Lyons Senior High School and a 1989 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Instructional Technology. She is a retired educator with 30 years of service having taught at Reidsville Elementary School and retiring from Toombs Central Elementary School. She has been employed with Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home since 2019. She is a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Vidalia. Traci is married to Chris Brown, and they have one daughter, Emily who is married to Beau Smith of Collins, Georgia. Traci and Chris have two grandchildren, Taylor Smith and Corbin Smith.

Marvin is a native of Vidalia, he is a 1964 graduate of Vidalia High School. He served three years in the United States Army achieving the rank of Sergeant E-5. He was employed with Walmart stores working in store management in the Southeastern United States for fifteen years. Marvin retired from radio broadcasting, concluding his radio career with WVOP as sales manager in 2009 and started his funeral service career with Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.  Marvin was a member of the Vidalia Kiwanis Club. He serves as an Elder in the Grace Community Presbyterian Church.  Marvin was married to Mary P. McIntyre for 24 years. He has three children and eight grandchildren.

Cayden is a 2023 graduate of Montgomery County High School who will attend Ogeechee Technical College in January 2024 pursuing a degree in Funeral Service Education. She resides in Ailey and is eager to learn all the aspects of the funeral business. She has been a valuable member of our funeral home family since June 2023.  We are proud and honored to be able to guide Cayden through her career journey.

Dustin lives in the South Thompson area of Toombs County, Georgia, where he’s built a life rooted in faith, service, and community. He graduated from Toombs County High School in 2013 and holds certificates in both air conditioning and chaplaincy, reflecting his commitment to practical skills and spiritual care. He’s a proud member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he gladly serves and preaches the Word of God. Ministry is not just a role—it’s his calling and joy. He has been employed with Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home since March 2025. He’s blessed to be married to Alexis Green, originally from Hollywood, Florida. She shares his heart for service and education, teaching at Robert Toombs Christian Academy as a 4th Grade Language Arts Teacher. They are expecting a baby boy in July 2026.

Julian is a Georgia native, born in Macon and raised in Brunswick.  A 1974 graduate of Glynn Academy, 1978 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, and 1981 graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, he served four churches as ordained Minister before a career change in 1994 brought him into the funeral profession.  Advance funeral planning became his specialty, and Murchison Funeral Home became one of the firms in his circle of influence. When Ronald Hall opened Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, Julian became more involved in the day-to-day operation and now handles all of the advance planning responsibilities.

Walt is a native of Omega, Georgia, living in Toombs County for the last 53 years. He served as a funeral director's apprentice under Jimmy Cooper at Cooper Funeral Home in Lyons. Walt is a retired electrician and taught Electrical and HVAC at Swainsboro Technical Institute. He is a member of Lyons Free Will Baptist Church. Walt was married to the late Margaret Donald for 49 years. He has one son, Jim and wife Cheryl, and one granddaughter, Emma. Walt has been employed with Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home since 2015.  


Joel Grier

Joel is a native Tarrytown and is a graduate of Montgomery County High School. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Joel graduated from Dekalb Technical School with a Diploma in Heating and Air Conditioning and Electrical. He also held a state Contractors license. Joel retired from MARTA in Atlanta after 20 years of service and later retiring from Rivers Heating and Air after 23 years of service. He has been employed with Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home since 2019. Joel is married to Marian Grier, they have one daughter, Anita and two grandchildren, Alston and Brianna. 


Jon Barnard

Jon was born in Orlando, Fl., moving to Lyons as a child. He is a 1980 graduate of Lyons Senior High School. He served six years in the US Air Force after graduation, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He's a retired law enforcement officer with combined service of 40 years with the local and state agencies. The majority of his service (twenty-nine years) at his childhood dream job as a Game Warden with the Georgia Natural Resources, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant and supervised seven local counties. He is Baptist by faith and attends Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons and is a member of Lyons Masonic Lodge #49, American Legion Post #97 and the Sons of the American Revolution, Four Rivers Patriots Chapter. He is married to Maureen Barnard and they have a daughter Fawn Smith, who is married to Anthony (Andy) Smith of Savannah. Jon and Maureen have two grandchildren, Nathan and Kendal Smith.

Mr. Homer was in the funeral profession for over 50 years and served over 8,000 families. He served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He graduated from John A. Gupton Mortuary College in 1972, started his funeral service career with Trapnell-Jones, later working for Murchison Funeral Home for many years. He passed away on August 2, 2023 and was a valued member of the Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home family since 2008. Mr. Homer leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Faye Lewis and three children, Robbie, Jennifer Lewis Knight, and Homer Blake Lewis, III.

Connie Thigpen Sowell was a native of Uvalda and a 1962 graduate of Montgomery County High School. She married Kenneth Sowell in 1969  and they had one daughter, Jill Rogers, five grandchildren and one sweet great-grandchild. She was employed with various banks in the area before being employed with DFACS in Lyons. She was employed with Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home since 2008. She passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in April 22, 2024.
