My Dear sweet cousin Susie...I spoke with you on Saturday and you were in such high spirits. My heart just shattered when I couldnt contact you on Sunday and then suddenly found out about your passing. I am so thankful for the time we spent together while you were in the hospital here in Savannah...I never would have dreamed it would end so suddenly. I know you are in heaven with our other family members. No more pain or stress. You were one of the most giving and loving people I ever knew in my life. I will never forget you. You rest with your savior now. I pray you sons and grand children will cherish the time they had with you and never forget how very much you loved them. I will miss you more then words can express. Until we meet again in a better place (I Love You Suzy Q.)

My heart breaks for Clayton, Nick and Kelly. Susie was an amazing person loved by many. Always willing to listen and help anyone she could. My hair wasn't the only thing in life I messed up that she tried to help me fix on more than one occasion. She will be missed greatly.

Heartbroken and still so hard to believe that you left so early. So many memories of the good ole days and so much fun. Numerous good times, laughs, cook outs, playing with the kids and just good conversation. I think you were the most outgoing girl I knew and your were not afraid of anyone or anything. I am so thankful for the phone call from you a few weeks ago and the always positive attitude about your condition. I am just so regretful I have not seen you in so long and now I see why its so important to make time for good friends. Praying for Nick, Clayton and all the grandchildren and your spouse. I was so sorry to learn of Susie's death. I loved her and have for almost 40 years. I had the privilege of leading her to the Lord and baptizing her at First Baptist Church in l976. She was the first person I had ever baptized. We have always had a special and sweet connection. I have to be out of town for the funeral service time or I would be there to support this family. Please know I care for you and am praying for God's comfort for you through these days.

So sorry to hear about Susie. Going to get my hair cut by Susie was always fun. She was always smiling and no matter what was going on in her life, she never lost her sense of humor. I am so very sorry for the loss of Susie. She did my hair many years ago and we became friends. She was a very lovable and caring person. She was one of the best in her profession. Susie and I were co-workers for about 9 years and friends way before and beyond that! She was awesome! One of the very best at what she did! My heart goes out to Nick and Clayton and all of the family. Nick, Clay and Kelly, my heart hurts so bad for you. Susie was such a special person in my life. We go back to when we were in high school. Kelly, my heart hurts for you because I know what it's like to lose a wife. LeeAnn has been gone eight years, was January 8, not a day goes by that I don't think of her. You as well will always have Susie in your heart. Nick and Clay, and the grandchildren, I've lost a mother and a grandmother, and as well with them there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about them. Everyone that met Susie if they were around very long they fell in love with her. She was a wonderful person. She is going to be missed by so many. Just know that the family is in my prayers. I know Susie love the Lord, and she is not in any pain now. Even though that doesn't help your void spot in all of y'all's hearts. Love y'all and will continue to be praying for the family and friends of Susie.

Kelly, Clayton and Nick, I am still so shocked that your wife, mother and friend is gone. You are all in my prayers. When you get to feeling sad in the next days, weeks and months remember how much she loved you all. Also please go to a song written by Katherine J. Cochran that I find comforting from the loss of my mom, and 2 of my brothers. The name of it is "Until We're Together Again" just click on the song.
