Thinking of and praying for your family today as you say your final goodbyes to Stan and in the coming months as you learn to live without him. Losing Stan so suddenly has been such a shock for your family and the community, but your dad leaves good memories for you and will be remembered by those who knew him as one with a ready laugh, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. God bless you all.

Sorry to hear about Stan. He was a great man and a hard worker. He always tried to help anyone he could and will always be remembered as well as missed. He always had a smile and a hug for you. Enjoyed working and getting to know him over the years. Know that you are all in our prayers and thoughts. We are as close as the phone if there is anything we can do for any of you.

Allen, Ed, Todd, I was so shocked to hear of Stan's sudden passing. Stan was the loan officer that financed the first car I purchased. He handled many banking transactions for me from that time forward. Ginger & I were talking about the one thing among many that stood out about Stan was that he was always smiling and had the best disposition of anyone that we knew. He will be greatly missed by so many friends and the community that he served so well. The only thing that can give us peace during this time is that we know this not good bye but that we will see Stan again one day in heaven. Praying for you guys.

To Stanley's boys and grandchildren. I know you don't know me but, Stanley and I are first cousins. My father was Uncle Edgar's youngest brother. My dad retired from the Marines so, we did not live around our family very much during my growing up years. My dad was the closest with Uncle Edgar and Uncle Ernest. We always went to Quitman when we came home on leave to see Uncle Edgar, Aunt Irene, Stanley (as I have always known him) and Hilda Faye. I always looked forward to visiting them. I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Seems like you have just gone through losing your grandparents and your mom and now your dad. I know you will all miss him terribly but, we are so glad to know he is now in Heaven with your mom and grandparents and rejoicing. No more worries, no more work, only happiness, joy, praising, and rejoicing. All of you are in my prayers as you face this. Sorry that we could not have known you more and been a closer family. I have so many memories that they would never fit on the website. Please know we love you all as family and are praying for your comfort and strength. Love to you all ---Kathy Yancey Register ---- Lakeland, Ga.

Hold Us Up, Lord

Lord, we know You're always busy,
For You've many things to do,
But when sorrow overcomes us,
Well, we need to talk to You.

For we've lost someone precious,
And they're with You there above,
And it's someone that we needed,
And it's someone that we loved.

We are feeling lost and all alone,
And though we do believe,
We need You, Lord, to hold us up,
To help us while we grieve.

Please give us strength and courage, Lord,
To bear what we must bear
And nudge us when our faith is weak
To remind us You are there.

Give us hope for our tomorrows,
Tell us life will still go on,
Show us, Lord, that all this darkness
Will be followed by the dawn.

You have led us through so many things,
You've pulled us through before,
Hold us up, Lord, till we're through this
And we are strong once more.
