Mr. Walter Rudolph Clifton, age 63, died Monday, February 13, 2017, in the Augusta University Medical Center, after an extended illness.  He was an electrical worker, contractor, and truck driver.  He lived throughout Georgia and South Carolina, and spent most of his life in Toombs County.  He loved fishing and relaxing at the Ohoopee River.  He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Clifton and a nephew, Shane Williamson.

Mr. Clifton is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Joyner of Leesburg, Virginia, and Mandi Casella of East Dublin; five grandsons, Jordan Joyner of Lyons, Tyler Joyner of Ashburn, Virginia, Riley Olson Leesburg, Damien Nobles, and Logan Nobles, both of East Dublin; his mother, Sarah Clifton of Vidalia; one brother, Sydney Clifton and wife Bruna of Reidsville; four sisters, Sandra Harris of Vidalia, Bertha Bearden and husband Benny of Tarrytown, Wanda Connell and husband Jimmy of Mt. Vernon, and Madeline Glatfelder and husband Ron of Montrose, Colorado; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Zorn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Old Mt. Zion Cemetery near Lyons.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00.
