Mr. Wadys Foskey, age 63, of Uvalda, died Friday, April 24, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and lived near Uvalda most of his life.  Before his retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator with Williams Plant Services, and was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local #474 in Pooler.  Wadys was an avid freshwater fisherman, and was well-known for his excellent cooking.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma NeeSmith Foskey.

Wadys is survived by three children, Melinda Pittman and husband Marty of Uvalda, Melissa Foskey of Lyons, and Stephen Foskey of Uvalda; five granddaughters, Sara Pittman Harrell, Bessie Pittman, Daisy Manning, Hannah Pittman Braddy, and Emily Denmark; one brother, Harold Foskey and wife Barbara of Vidalia; three sisters, Janice Foskey Fordham and husband John of Statesboro, Brenda Foskey Williams and husband Lee of Vidalia, and Helen Foskey Adams and husband Leland of Uvalda; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 26th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Toole and Keith Fordham officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
