I NEVER MET YOU, BUT I DID MEET YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS(IN ICU AT CANDLER). I COULD TELL THAT YOU WERE A VERY LOVED WOMEN WHO PUT UP A HELL OF A FIGHT FOR LIFE. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING YOUR GRANDSON WITH YOUR DAUGHTER IN LAW THE DAY THAT YOU WERE CALLED HOME, HE WAS IN THE LOBBY, IN THAT MOMENT I KNEW YOU WERE A BRIGHT LIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILY, I COULD TELL THAT THE DAYS FOLLOWING YOUR BEING GONE THAT THEY WOULD FEEL SO LOST. I HAD THE FEELING THAT YOUR LIGHT WILL CONTINUE TO SHINE THROUGH YOUR BEAUTIFUL GRANDSON, HE WAS WITH HIS MOMMY SO PERFECT AND INNOCENT NOT KNOWING THE IMPACT THIS DAY WOULD HAVE FOR HIM AND HOW MUCH HE WOULD MISS YOU SHELIA. YOUR LITTLE MAN WILL KEEP YOUR LIGHT SHINING BRIGHT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE!!!!!!! REST IN PEACE MAY YOUR MEMORY LIVE ON FOREVER..........

Remembering my former classmate tonight, our time together through the Roanoke City schools, Handley High marching band, and many other fun times playing as kids around the lake close to where so many of us grew up. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Shelia's friends and family. Praying for peace that surpasses all understanding for those who will miss her and are broken hearted with her sudden passing.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Shelia for many years. She had become more than just a patient. She was my friend. We both had grandchildren that were due within a few weeks of each other and we both loved to share pictures of them. I'm gonna miss her so much. She holds a special place in my heart. Thinking of all the family during this difficult time.
