Mrs. Shelia Milam, age 60, of Vidalia, died Friday, April 10, 2015 in Atlanta after an extended illness. She was a native of Plainfield, New Jersey and lived in Orlando, Florida before moving to Vidalia in 2004. She graduated from Bridgewater East High School in 1971 and then from Ocean County Vocational Technical School in 1988. She was licensed as Licensed Practical Nurse in four states and had Native American heritage in the Blackfeet Sioux Tribe. She was a member of the North Thompson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Beers; one son, Mark Schultz; and one sister, Joyce Richards.
Mrs. Milam is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Donald K. Milam; one daughter, Kelly D. Milam with Pate Stephens all of Vidalia; her mother, Thelma Beers; one sister, Sharon Barrese both of Hopewell, Virginia; four grandchildren, eighteen year old Erik, sixteen year old Sarah, fifteen year old Thomas, and five year old Seamus; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 14th at 2:00 pm in the North Thompson Baptist Church with Reverend Joe Phillips and Reverend Glen Waters officiating.
