Mr. H. Paul Brown, age 81, of Vidalia, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at his home, after a sudden illness.  He was born October 30, 1935, and was a lifelong resident of Toombs County.  He worked with Western Auto in Lyons and with Sears for twelve years as district service manager.  He was the owner/operator of J& J Electronics in Vidalia, and later, worked with Clarke Appliance for seven years.  He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, and the ABC Sunday School Class.  He served in the Georgia National Guard for twelve years, the Lyons Fire Department and civil defense for fifteen years, and was a member of Jaycees.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynette Moore Brown; parents, Luke and Lula Brown; four brothers, Glenn Brown, Clifford Brown, Steve Brown, and Harry Brown; and three sisters, Francis Mumford, Dorothy Lanier, and Martha Poole.

Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, Tim Brown and Perry Brown and wife Susan, all of Vidalia; five grandchildren, Scott Brown of Hinesville, Luke Brown, Thomas Brown, Marissa Brown, all of Vidalia, and Chris Brown of Savannah; one sister, Audrey Kennedy and husband DeWayne of Glennville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Helton and Reverend Ronnie McKenzie officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Bobby Thompson.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
