Mrs. Nan Ellen Yarbrough, age 79, of Vidalia, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at her home, after an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County, lived in the Atlanta area most of her life, and returned to Vidalia in 2003. She retired from Sutter, McLellan, and Gilbert Incorporated, an independent insurance agency in the Atlanta area, as the counting manager after many years of service.  She was a member of Atlanta First United Methodist Church and John’s Creek United Methodist Church, then after returning to Vidalia, she became a member of Vidalia First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie an Elma Elkins.

Mrs. Yarbrough is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Bobby Yarbrough of Vidalia; one stepdaughter, Cindy Freeman and husband Chris of Smyrna; one brother, Arlie S. Elkins, Jr. of Cottonwood, Arizona; one niece, Eydi Elkins of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and one nephew, Stan Elkins of Seattle, Washington.

The memorial service will be held Friday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Greene officiating.

Following the service, a luncheon will be held at Otha and Pat Dixon’s pool house at Dixon’s Lake, all who would like to come are welcome.
