Mildred's service was one of the most uplifting I've ever attended. I've known Mildred through service with the Auxilians at MRMC. Although we knew each other for just a decade of her long life, I loved & respected her tremendously! Her dedication to our group & especially to the patients she served is unsurpassed. Every month when she shared her newest favor creation, I marveled at her seemingly unlimited bounty of ideas & the neatness with which they were made. Her handwriting was as clear & precise as that of a much younger person. I truly believe God gifted her with such creativity & ability because she was a living example of His love to others. Her picture will be in my home as a constant reminder that God uses those who are willing to give of themselves unselfishly in service to others. Our loss is definitely heaven's gain! Tommy & family, you'll be in my thoughts & prayers as you adjust to life without her. God bless you all.

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. We don't don't know what to say, just know that we are praying for you.

Tommy, thinking of you and your family in this time of great loss. I've loved and admired your mom since 3rd grade. She was one of my very favorite teachers and I'm so honored to have had her as a friend through the years. I will always remember her with great fondness.

We loved sharing craft ideas and fruits and vegetables with one another. I appreciated all your hard work at your church that you helped my daughter, Connie with. I wonder how many bulletins you folded over the years. You will be so missed and I treasure your friendship.

Never a time when Ms. Mildred and I would share with each other do I regret. She was definitely a joy to know and her knowledge was vast. She shared the story of the trip they were on when her husband "died at the wheel driving the car" and that she was unable to attend his funeral due to her injuries and being hospitalized. In all the years, I can't recall her being anything but a sweet "young" lady, willing to help any way she could while doing what she loved in her volunteering position as a "Pink Lady" and later an Auxillian at the new hospital. Only recently seeing her celebrating with the other Auxillian's for their luncheon was remarkable at her age. . . she still had such determination and spunk. May God comfort all family and friends as you continue your lives without her physicial presence. Oh the wonderful memories you all have shared through the years, may they bring you joy and peace as you recall them. She definitely traveled a long road and has left a legacy behind that will live on. RIP Ms. Mildred, you are going to be missed by many.

So sorry for your loss. Our community has lost one of the most loving and caring, always putting others before herself, ladies that our county and myself have ever had the privilege of knowing! She will be greatly missed!

So sorry to hear about Mildred's passing. I worked with her as a pink lady years ago. She will always be remembered fondly by me and her patients. She spent some much time lifting the spirits of patients in the hospital by the gifts she made them.
