Lyons,

Mr. David W. Lindsey, age 57, of Lyons, died Monday, June 2, 2014 in the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lyons, and before his illness, was an over the road truck driver. Also, he enjoyed mechanic work on vehicles. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Brunelle McLeod Lindsey.

Mr. Lindsey is survived by one son, Christopher Wayne Lindsey of Longview, Texas; one step-son, Tony Barwick of Surrency; six siblings, Mary Will Lindsey of Lyons, Buddy Lindsey and wife Geraldine of Lyons, Tommy Lindsey and wife Sue of Chester, Madie Copeland and husband Herbert of Lyons, Paul Lindsey and Pam Lindsey, both of Dublin; a special cousin, Lynette Burroughs of Clayton; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Hodges officiating.
