Vidalia,

Mrs. Daisy Elaine McGill, age 88, a former resident of Bethany Assisted Living in Vidalia, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Community Hospice House, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Jeff Davis County, and later met her husband who was in the Army.  Before his retirement, they lived in many places around the world, later moving to Montgomery County, and to Toombs County in 1968.  She was a homemaker, and a former member of the Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Felton McGill; parents, Reverend John Lee Yawn, Jr. and Maymie Lou Sears Yawn; and a brother, W.H. Yawn.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. McGill is survived by two children, Melba Cooper and husband Doc of Vidalia, and Bud McGill and wife Dana of Sandersville; former daughter-in-law, Quinell McGill of Tennille; four grandchildren, Angela Cooper Clark and husband Gary of Vidalia, Wesley Cooper and wife Peggy of Vidalia, Kevin McGill and wife Amy of Tennille, and Jeff McGill and wife Jill of Riddleville; eight great-grandchildren, Kolbe Cooper and fiancé Claire Moxley, Harlie Manger and husband Patrick, Makayla Cooper, Britt Cooper, Christian McGill, Shea McGill, Ryan McGill, and Kyle McGill; two great-great-grandchildren, Abel Manger and Paislee Manger; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Bishop Gilbert Wommack and Steve Lockhart officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
