I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU! Anna is wonderful Mommy and is hanging on. Lydia is a young lady now and helps Anna. Caleb is growing to fast. He talks about you a lot. Jake is redoing the Bronco aka the Corn Wagon. I think it's his way of dealing without you here. Dad and I are hanging on too. We all will never be the same. Sleep peacefully son until.........

Charlie my heart is breaking. The past few days have been some of the worst I've had. Mother's Day without was so painful. I never dreamed for Mother's Day I'd be picking out a headstone for my baby it's so unfair. I try to be brave and smile through it all I know that's what you would want. This is the hardest thing I've ever done. There has to be a reason. I talk to you all the time do you heard me? Anna tries to be strong too. Lydia seems a little more reserved now and Caleb is growing and gets so quiet when he looks at your picture. Jake tries to fill the emptiness and Kristen supports us all. You were such a good son loving daddy great husband devoted friend and pure goodness. You truly loved people, life, and never wasted a single day of your life. Why? Oh Why? I wonder did God just let us borrow you for a short time and needed you back with him? I hope God will give us all the answer some day! I MISS and LOVE you son and I'll always BELIEVE!!! Love Mom

Son I still keep waiting for you to walk through the day and fill the house with your usual larger than life self. I know you are near all of us and you are keeping watch over us. As the holidays draw near I just don't want them to come for in doing so my heart breaks and bleeds. Time keeps ticking but for me they will never truly move past the day you had to go. I still have questions that have not be answered please help us with this I have to know why. Why you didn't leave the road why no signs why no one will answer our questions why why why? I know this won't bring you back but I'll never give up until I find out the truth! We are all leaning in each other but it's hard. I take Caleb and Lydia to feed the ducks because I know Caleb remembers you taking him. There's always a lone Raven sitting on the bridge and somehow I think it's you watching him. Lydia is growing up and you'd be so proud of her and how much she helps out with Caleb. Anna is strong and you definitely choose the right girl. She helps to fill the void in so many ways. Caleb is just like you he talks talks and talks all the time. He can't answer yes or no he had to explain why and tell you why. Caleb sees you in the clouds and in his dreams. Oh how I wished you were here! I'll stop for now but I'll always BELIEVE!

I do not know if this goes away or not but Charlie never will leave my heart. I hurt every day. You see Charlie and I were friends beyond friends. We went through the hard times and always came out the other side together, stronger for it. Today I stand looking back, and I will from this day forward until the Good lord take me home. I believe there is a reason for my loss but do not understand. I pray God will give me the vision to see the reason when it happens. I pray I do not miss it. I can’t miss it. It tells in the Bible that a person shall not be tasked with more than he can stand.
I read all the comments tonight 5/10/15 for the first time. Charlie would Smile at each and every one, comments would be made and stories told.

We can only imagine the overwhelming grief you all are going through. It's a pain we wish no one had to deal with. Charlie used to pull up beside me while we waited for Jake and Alexander to finish practicing football over at the middle school. He was always friendly to me and always spoke with the best of manners. I recall many times heading home and that big green truck would come rumbling around me. Charlie was the ultimate Toombs County Football Fan. He could light up the faces of the entire Pitt when he ran that Flying T from one end of the stadium to the other! Young, old, man, woman....everyone loved Charlie and the spirit he had for our school. I'll bet there's a Flying T on the Streets of Gold now. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all.

Its hard not to think about my childhood without thinking about Charlie and Jake. Our families were close and I always enjoyed spending time with them. When I think of Charlie, I think about climbing that big rope hanging from the live oak at your old home place. Or the summer days we spent trying to water ski and knee board at the river. More than anything else though, I think about how good it felt just to be around Charlie. He was the type of person that you felt good being around. He never was in a bad mood. He loved life and loved his family. He would be the first to say that he had no regrets about his life. Mike and Michelle, Charlie made this world a better place. And for that, I hope you find comfort. We will continue to pray for you all.

I loved Charlie, too. He was such a sweet, happy person. He was lots of fun talking "football" with. He was so proud of his wife and children, and was so excited telling me about his new baby. We offer our condolences to your family. I remember Charlie from High School and from his visits at my Taco Bell in Vidalia. Just the other day he came by our drive thur and had a smile on his face. I heard him speak of his family how much he loved them and can remember the football love he had of the bulldogs. God Bless you during this time and remember God will get you through the hard times.
