Mrs. Betty Darley Minialga, age 71, of the South Thompson Community, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia after a brief illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, living in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for thirty years, and returned home in 2000.  She worked with McNeil Pharmaceutical for many years near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attended Grace United Methodist Church in Vidalia, and most recently the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William Walter Darley and Alice Alberta Sauls Darley; and seven siblings, Margie, Roy, Carol, Edwin, Lewis, Jackie, Elizabeth, and Paul.

Betty is survived by three sons, Charles Walter “Chip” Minialga and wife Lori, Joseph Edward Minialga and wife Sharon, and Paul Anthony Minialga, all of New Jersey; one brother, Ronnie Fowler and wife Pat of Fortson; four grandchildren, Matthew, Gabriel, Joseph, and Chelsea; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hardens Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
