Lyons,

Mrs. Alene Watts Bearden, age 92, of Lyons, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of Treutlen County, lived in Belle Glade, Florida for thirty years, and to Toombs County in 1983.  She was a homemaker and was a member of New Beginning Church of God in Lyons.

Mrs. Bearden is survived by one son, Ellis Paul Bearden of Thomaston; one granddaughter, Annette Bearden Cobb of Reidsville; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Bearden and wife “Kat” of Johnsons Corner Community, and Emily Ann Clark Johnson and husband Kaleb of Lyons; one great-great grandson, Avery Kolton Johnson of Lyons; one brother, Alfonzo Watts of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Smith and Pastor Michael Plowman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
