Mrs. Aldene Phillips Colson, age 73 of Lyons, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 in Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons after an extended illness. She was a native of Oak Park; living in Savannah for ten years, and in Toombs County most of her life. She was a homemaker, Baptist by faith, and was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton “Tiny” Colson; her parents, Alton and Louvenia Logan Phillips; two sisters, Loretta Jackson and Dee Hamilton; and a brother, Roy Phillips.
Mrs. Colson is survived by four sons, Gene Copeland and wife Marcia of Vidalia, Lynn Copeland and wife Jamasena of Bloomingdale, Darrell Copeland wife Ty Ann of Lyons, and Reid Copeland of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend B.L. Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Park City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
