Lyons,

Jacob Michael Strange, age 14, of Lyons, died July 22, 2015 in Meadows Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Forsyth and lived most of his life in Lyons.  He would have been a freshman this coming school year at Toombs County High School and played wide receiver for the Bulldogs.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Wheeler.

Jacob is survived by his father, Wayne A. Spainhour of Lyons; mother, Liz Jones and husband Phillip of Vidalia; seven siblings, Ryan Strange of Vidalia, Hailey Spainhour, Shelby Lynn Spainhour both of Lyons, Doug Mauler, Krista Pittman both of Tampa Bay, Florida, Stephanie Rose Felton of Homestead, Florida, Selena Marie Spainhour of Seaborn, Florida; paternal grandmother, Virginia Ann Spainhour of Seaborn, Florida; one uncle, Josh Slovak of Vidalia; and one aunt, Sandra Spainhour of Seaborn, Florida.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 27th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Nelms officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral on Monday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
