Yvonne Hickman Sapp, age 69, of Lyons, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Community House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Charleston, South Carolina and moved to Toombs County in 1974. She worked at Oxford Industries for more than twenty years and retired from Tumi Luggage Works as Quality Control Manager. She enjoyed nature, traveling, especially to the mountains, sunflowers, hummingbirds, and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Webster Hickman and Harold Hickman, Sr.; great-grandson, Kolton Trull; one sister, Vicki Hickman Collins; two brothers, Donald Hickman and Richard Hickman; former husband, Charles Auman, Sr. and former partner, Robert “Boss” Straley.
Her family includes four children, Olivia Auman Holcombe of Lyons, Elizabeth Sapp of Statesboro, Adam Auman and wife Stephanie of Vidalia, and Scott Jackson and wife Heather of Awendaw, South Carolina; grandchildren, Marcus Trull III, Austin Holcombe, Dalton Holcombe, Jordan Auman, Amber Auman, Lily Sapp, Ryker Campbell, T.J. Jackson, Destiny Jackson, Kylie Jackson, Mia Jackson, and Alex Ford; great-grandchildren, Wrenleigh Holcombe, Berklie Holcombe, Chevy Jackson, and Mykah Wilson; four siblings, Harold Hickman, Jr. and wife Sarah of Englewood, Florida, Mickey Hickman of Valdosta, Dannie Hickman, Sr. and wife Donna of Greenville, South Carolina, and Nancy Todd Wade of Charleston, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Monday morning, October 14th, 2024, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Randy McDuffie officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
