Mr. William F. Ford, Jr., age 82, of Toombs County, died Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at his home in Lyons surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. He was raised near the English Eddy Community and lived in Toombs County all of his life. He worked as a logger most of his life, working for J. Hall NeeSmith for many years. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lyons, and he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, vegetable gardening, and yard work.
He is preceded in death by a son, Bobby Ford; grandson, Trey Ford; parents, William Floyd Ford, Sr. and Lula Mae Driggers Ford; and four brothers, Jack Ford, Lamar Ford, Coy Ford, and Laverne Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Diane S, Ford of Lyons; three sons, Gary Ford and Rhonda Hackle of Soperton, Scott Ford and Dallas Santana of Lyons, and Jeffery Ford and Hailey Medders of Appling County; three daughters, Barbara Ford Conway and husband Mike of North Zulch, Texas, Christy Ammons and husband Robert of Baxley, Glenda Ford Beasley and husband Eric of Soperton; daughter-in-law, Tammie Ford of Lyons; one sister, Bonnie Ford Toler of Vidalia; twenty grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon, November 28th, 2025, at 3:00 in chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
