Will J. Burkett

Mr. Will J. Burkett, age 26, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in Burke County.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County and was a 2011 graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School.  He previously worked with Hamilton ITS in Vidalia and currently was a welder at Plant Vogel with Boilermakers Local 26.  Will played guitar and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by his father, Mike Burkett. 

Will is survived by his mother, Michelle Lawrence; one sister, Brittany Burkett; maternal grandmother, Gearldine Burke; paternal grandparents, Lynn and M.C. Gilliland; and two nephews, Julius Burkett and Gabriel Burkett, all of Vidalia.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Davis and Heather Palmer officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until just prior to the service.
