Mr. Wayne Day, age 49 of Vidalia, died Monday, September 27th, 2021. He was a native of Miami Florida, and lived there until moving to Vidalia in 1993. He was owner/operator of Alpha Lock in Vidalia for many years. He was a member of Smith Street Baptist Church and served as Music Minister.
What we would like you to know about Wayne, is he loved everyone. He had a very giving soul, and he was the BEST father in the world. He loved his family deeply.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mike and Judy Day.
His family includes his wife Polly Day of Vidalia, one daughter Violet Jones and husband Nick, his father Leonard Day and step mom Sunita of Macon Ga; two grandchildren, Sage Jones and Bryson Jones; one great-granddaughter Brayleigh “Little Rose”; a great-grandson Waylon Reed to be born soon, one Special niece Kearstin Branch, and her husband Jacob Branch, with one great nephew Daniel Branch to be born soon.
We would like to make special mention to friends David and Dorothy Barrett for all their love and support through Wayne’s illness.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
The funeral will be held Friday, October 1st, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend David Barrett officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
