Mr. Wayne Beasley, age 66, of Oak Park, died Saturday, January 24, 2026, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born in Adrian, as a child moved to the Oak Park area where he lived the rest of his life, and he attended Oak Park School. Wayne adapted to several kinds of jobs; he was a carpenter, welder, truck driver, and more recently was a school bus driver for the Emanuel County Board of Education. Wayne enjoyed fishing, working on lawn mowers, riding his golf cart, watching Westerns, the Price Is Right, and the 6 o’clock news.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Beasley and Ora Elizabeth Williamson Beasley; and eight siblings, Don Beasley, Gary Beasley, Arnold Beasley, Gail Beasley Cloud, Joyce Beasley Oliva, Michael Beasley, Rickie Beasley, and an infant brother, Tony.
Mr. Beasley is survived by five children, Stormy Beasley Williams and Jessica Beasley, both of Oak Park, Calvin Beasley and wife Jaime of Lyons, and Billy Beasley and Angel Beasley Atkinson and husband Cody, all of Oak Park; eight grandchildren, Hailey Williams and fiancé Cody Gardinier, Diana Hamilton, Damien Williams, Brianna Hamilton and husband Brad Justice, Ella Beasley, Daniel Rogers, Baylee “Liz” Atkinson, and Addyson “A.J.” Atkinson; one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, January 27th, 2026, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Brantley officiating. Interment will follow at the Kirby Cemetery near Oak Park.
Pallbearers are Gary Beasley, Joshua Radford, Leevi Alyea, Nicholas Alyea, Ricky Strange, Jr., and Damien Williams.
