Vickie S. Dees, age 60, of Lyons, died Friday, July10, 2026, at her home after a sudden illness. She was a native of Toombs County, living in Cedar Crossing and Lyons most of her life. She was a 1983 graduate of Toombs Central School and attended Brewton-Parker College. She worked with Rotary in McRae-Helena, Claxton Poultry, and currently was working at Trane for the past ten years. She attended Cedar Crossing Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church.
She enjoyed visiting family and friends, animals, especially her dogs, and she loved to help and bless others.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Mosley Byrd; and a stepsister, Melissa Foskey.
Ms. Dees is survived by her father, Louie Dees and wife Dianne; one sister, Lisa Dees; one brother, James Dees and wife Robbin; one stepsister, Melinda Pittman and husband Marty, all of Cedar Crossing; one stepbrother, Steve Foskey and wife Heather of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday afternoon, July 14th, 2026, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey and Pastor Melvin Kramer officiating. Interment will follow at Moseley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
