Varsha Kaushik Shah

Varsha Kaushik Shah, age 72, of Vidalia, died Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Doctors Hospital of Augusta after a brief illness.  She was a native of Baroda, India and moved to Vidalia in 2016.  She graduated from Maharani High School and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art.  She was a homemaker and she enjoyed knitting and sewing, but she especially loved playing with her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her father Kanaiyalal Thaker; daughter, Khusboo Shah; brother, Pradeep Thaker; and sister, Gira Bhatt.

Her family includes her husband of fifty-two years, Kaushik Shah of Vidalia; one daughter, Arusha Shah and husband Zubin Dudhwala, who was more like a son than a son-in-law, of Vidalia; one sister, Ranjan Pandya of New Jersey; and two grandchildren, Arya and Kaavya, both of Vidalia.

The family will receive friends at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home on Monday evening, September 4th from 5:00 until 7:00.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with a cremation service to follow at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, 1320 N. Jefferson Street, Dublin, GA 31021.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
