Tycile Williamson Obituary

Mrs. Tycile Boyette Clark Williamson, age 100, of the Marvin Yancey, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her home.  She was born on August 28, 1923 in Tattnall County to the late Thomas Lawton Boyette and Alice Rose Kicklighter Boyette, and spent most of her life in Toombs County.  She was a 1940 honor graduate of Reidsville High School where she was active in basketball and baseball.  Mrs. Tycile was a homemaker and farmer all of her life.  She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, helped with Vacation Bible School, served as director of WMU, and helped everywhere she was needed.  She loved fishing, reading, sewing, working on the farm with her husband and especially visiting the sick and shut-ins.  She was a member of the Busy Bee Sewing Club.  She is preceded in death by two husbands, Hoke Clark and Hermon Williamson; two stepchildren, Jan Wood and Larry Williamson; two step great-grandchildren, Greg Williamson and Tommy Morris; her parents; nine siblings; and a special son, Randy Grimm.

Her family includes six children, Sue Clark, Larry Clark, Fred Clark and wife Kathy, Gwen Richardson, Dale Newsome, and June Taylor and husband Johnny; more than one hundred grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and two special children, Romanus Dotson and his family, and the Randy Grimm family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon, November 17th, from 1:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Taylor Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
