Lyons,
Mr. Troy E. Trull, Sr., age 75, of Lyons, died Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lyons, and was a 1961 graduate of Lyons High School. He played football for the Lyons Bulldogs, receiving the Most Outstanding Back Award. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from Georgia Machine in Vidalia after thirty-three years as a machinist. He coached Little League baseball for more than twenty plus years with the Lyons Recreation Department, and also coached Pee Wee football. He enjoyed all sports including deer hunting and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a loving husband, Daddy, and PA. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Pearl Trull; step-mother Lula Trull, and four brothers, Henry Trull, Larry Trull, Bobby Trull, and an infant brother Thurman Trull.
Mr. Trull is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Trull of Lyons; four children, Emory Trull, Jr. and wife Kyleigh, Carrie Dollar and husband Chris, all of Hawkinsville, Clint Braddock and wife Deidre of Vidalia, and Harriet Flowers and Larry Monroe of Lyons; one brother, Jack Trull of Lyons; nine grandchildren, Berkleigh, Gunnin, Rudd, Trent, Nick, Lyla, Caley Anna, Ella Kate, and Emily; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special Army buddies Roy Williams from TN and David Wise from Texas.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 17th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mt. Zion Cemetery off GA Hwy 86, Lyons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until the service begins.
