Mrs. Trena Williamson O’Neal, age 87, of Vidalia, died Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a sudden illness. She was a native of Treutlen County, a 1953 graduate of Treutlen County High School and lived in Toombs County most of her life. She worked at Oxford Manufacturing for many years, was a licensed funeral director working with Ronnie Stewart for several years, and later worked with First Union Bank for many years. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association, President of the American Cancer Society and member of the Red Hat Club in Vidalia. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, baking, cooking and spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alma Phillips Hudson; stepfather, Patrick Hudson; and four siblings, Talmadge Williams, Tillman Williams, Trudy Williams Lewis and Treva Williams Ashby.
Her family includes her husband of twenty-three years, Ram O’Neal of Vidalia; one daughter, Jena Williamson McBay and husband Michael of Madison; two stepdaughters, Sherry O’Neal Fountain and husband Chess of Vidalia, and Brenda O’Neal Meadows and husband Jimmy of Fernandina Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Haley McBay and fiancé John Allmond of Macon, Morgan McBay Couch and husband Andrew of Madison, Blake Fountain, Haley Fountain Glenn and fiancé Pug Clements, all of Vidalia, Tom Meadows and Margaret Meadows, both of Fernandina Beach, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Parks, Wilder, Brock and Brogen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday, March 18th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Mr. Randy McDuffie and Pastor Bobby Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until just prior to the service.
