Trecie (Hall) McDaniel

Mrs. Trecie Hall McDaniel, age 87, of Glenwood, died Monday, July 7, 2025, at Lumber City Care Center following an extended illness.  She was a native of Wheeler County and lived near Glenwood all of her life.  She was in the Class of 1956 at Glenwood High School, and she was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Snow Hill Community Church where she sang in the choir and sang solo in almost every service.  She enjoyed sewing and gardening.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” McDaniel; great- granddaughter, Abigail Rose Gibson; parents, Henry Green Hall, Jr. and Ida Hand Hall; sister, Mary Alice Hall Browning; an infant brother, Henry Green Hall III; and son-in-law, Bobby Jackson Gibbs.

Her family includes two daughters, Melinda McDaniel Gibbs of Mt. Vernon, and Ginger Elaine McDaniel Hawking and husband Elijah of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Aline Hall White and husband Carris of Glenwood; three grandchildren, Terra Dawn Jackson and husband Jason of Vidalia, April Michelle Gibson and husband Patrick of Swainsboro, and Kristoff Maurice Moses of Jacksonville; twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be Thursday morning, July 10th, 2025, at 11:00 at Snow Hill Community Church with Pastor Kevin Connell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
