Tony E. Tomlinson

Mr. Tony E. Tomlinson, age 58, of Jacksonville, Florida, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at his home after a sudden illness.  He was born in Swainsboro on May 12, 1964 and moved to Vidalia the following year.  He was a 1982 graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton.  For several years, Tony worked with Leon Butler in Vidalia as a painter, and more recently worked twenty years as a resetter for Driveline in North Carolina, servicing large retail companies.  Tony was passionate about whitewater canoeing in the north Georgia Mountains, North Carolina, and the Ohoopee River.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and had attended countless concerts.

His family includes one daughter, Crystal Tomlinson of Vidalia; long-time friend and companion, Kathy Moore of Jacksonville, Florida; parents, Mildred and Woody Tomlinson of Vidalia; one brother, Greg Tomlinson of Kingsland; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be Monday, November 28th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Monday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
