Thomas Burke Obituary
Mr. Thomas Burke, age 62, of Kathleen, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell after a sudden illness. He was born in Macon, living in Savannah for several years, and in Houston County most of his life. He was a 1978 graduate of Houston County High School, and was a self-employed commercial and residential painter. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and collecting and hunting arrowheads. He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Byrd Burke; and a brother, Kenneth Burke.
His family includes two children, Katie Burke of Bonaire and Will Burke of Kathleen; his father, Bill Burke of the Charlotte Community; former wife, Della Burke of Kathleen; one aunt and one uncle.
A graveside funeral service will be Saturday, November 27th, at 1:00 at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 12:00 noon until just prior to the service.
