Lyons,
Mr. Thomas Franklin Brown, age 80, of the Johnson Corner Community, died
Monday, December 3, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a native of Telfair County and lived in Lyons and the Johnson Corner Community most of his life. He was a lifelong auto parts dealer, and more recently the owner of NAPA Auto Parts in Lyons. He was a member of the Edmond Chapel Church of God in Johnson Corner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Frank Brown and Mildred Leona Brown; sister, Sandra Lee Brown; and brother, Elton Louis Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Jacqueline “Jackie” Harrelson Brown of Lyons; two daughters, Brenda Brown Lafferty and husband David of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Melody Brogdon and husband Frederick of Lyons; three grandchildren, Amanda Horne Ross of Bluffton, Calista Brogdon, and Chason Brogdon of Lyons; two great-grandchildren, Bradley Denmark and Elizabeth Ross of Bluffton; one brother, Maurice Brown of McRae/Helena; two sisters, Martha Evans of Lawrenceville, and Sarah Stembridge and husband Bob of Vidalia; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will recieve friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
