Teddie Will (Rollins) Beasley

Mrs. Teddie Will Rollins Beasley, age 92, of the Cedar Crossing Community, died Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Meadows Park Health & Rehab in Vidalia following an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County and lived in Cedar Crossing most of her life.  She was a 1951 graduate of Toombs  Central School, an outstanding basketball player, and she was in the last class that graduated in the 11th grade.  She was a homemaker, and she and her late husband were owners/operators of Altamaha Restaurant in Uvalda.  She also helped her husband on the farm for many years.  She was a member of Cedar Crossing Baptist Church.  She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, puzzles, the outdoors, butterbean auctions at Meadows Park, and was known by so many as a great cook.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Sam Beasley; one son, Larry Beasley; parents, Meldrum Rollins and Sophie Brantley Rollins; and eight siblings.

Her family includes two children, Sherry Beasley Mimbs and husband Pete of Lyons, and Wayne Beasley and wife Finta of the Rackettown Community; six grandchildren, Sam Beasley of Rackettown, Shon Bellah and wife Lila of Royce City, Texas, April Booth and husband Greg of Candice, New York, Kelli Sharpton and husband Jamie of Vidalia, Shannon D. Mimbs of Marietta, and Chasity Gray and husband Spencer of Vidalia; ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon, May 27th, 2025, at 3:00 at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with her grandson Shannon D. Mimbs and Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Crossing Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
