Mr. Steve Partin, age 74, of the Johnson Corner Community, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro, after a brief illness. He was a native of Toombs County, living in Johnson Corner all of his life, and was a 1967 graduate of Toombs Central School. He was a lifelong farmer, which started multiple generations ago in the Partin family. He served on the Toombs County Board of Education. He enjoyed crappie fishing at Lake Oconee, working his cows, but he especially enjoyed time spent with family and grandsons. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Williamson Partin; son, Steven Craig Partin; and parents, Earnest Grady Partin and Maudry Farmer Partin.
His family includes two children, Wesley Partin and Tara Partin Porras and husband Rod, all of Johnson Corner; five grandchildren, Partin Porras of Johnson Corner, Hunter Partin and wife Caitie of Normantown, Kaden Partin of Collins, Clayton Porras of Johnson Corner, and Grady Templet of Louisiana; one sister, “Teny” Partin of Johnson Corner; one brother, Kendall Partin of Johnson Corner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon, February 10th, 2024, in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 1:30 until just prior to the funeral service at 3:30 with Pastor Blake Hardiman officiating. Burial will follow at Hardens Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hardens Chapel Cemetery Fund c/o Jerome Toole, 1830 GA Hwy 135, Vidalia, GA 30474.
