Sonja Gale Craft Williams, age 67, of Tattnall County, died Monday, January 24, 2022, at her home after a sudden illness. She was a native of Uvalda, attended Montgomery County High School, and lived in Tattnall County many years. She worked as a cashier and clerk at several convenient stores in Tattnall County. She was Church of God by faith; and she enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Michael Williams; parents, Wedrell Craft and Ruby Lumley Craft; a sister, Wonell Craft Franklin; and brother, Greg Craft.
Her family includes three children, Felicia Stanfield and husband Donnie, Larson Stanfield and wife Shae, all of Glennville, and Heather Anderson and husband Terry of Collins; four grandchildren, Megan Griffee, Jubal Stanfield, Gentry Stanfield, and Gabriel Howell; four brothers, Gary Craft, Jrell Craft and wife Barbara, all of Uvalda, Ronald Craft and wife Tammy of Vidalia, and Shawn Craft of Uvalda; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, January 26th, at 2:00 p.m. at Moseley Cemetery with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
