Shirley Williams (Crowe) Pittman

Mrs. Shirley Crowe Williams Pittman, age 88, of Johnson Corner Community, died Saturday, September 14, 2024, at her home, following an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, living in Savannah for twenty years and lived in Johnson Corner most of her life.  For many years, she worked at several garment companies, including Toombs County Manufacturing and Lyons Manufacturing.  She was a former member of Hardens Chapel Church and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening and crafts.  She is preceded in death by two husbands Audrey Williams and Albert H. Pittman; daughter, Barbara Sue Phillips; parents, James William Crowe and Evelyn James Crowe; sister, Joanne Crowe Woods; brother, Howell Crowe and wife Mary Alice.

Her family includes one daughter, Ann Williams West and husband Douglas of Johnson Corner; four grandchildren, Lori West of Johnson Corner, Melissa Coleman of Vidalia, Adam West and wife Jessie of Dexter, and Amy Phillips of Hazlehurst; two great-grandchildren, Jayden West and Joshua West; one great-great-grandson, Jackson West, several nieces and nephews; and adopted families, Danny Dixon family, Preston Mosley Family and Bill Black Family.

The funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, September 18th, at 2:00 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Matt Black officiating.  Burial will follow at Hardens Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon at Rocky Creek Baptist Church from 1:00 until just prior to the service. 

Pallbearers are Danny Dixon, Josh Dixon, Colby Calhoun, David Johnson, Fred Johnson, and Lash Hayes.
