Ms. Sharon Lisa Kight, age 52, of Lyons, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She enjoyed spending time and reminiscing with family and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son; a grandson, Bentley Kayden Wood; and her father, Charles Asbury Screws.
Ms. Kight is survived by four children, Heather Wood and husband Reggie, and Madison Kight of Vidalia, Breanna Kight and Brittaney Kight of Lyons; her mother, Katy Lumley Sprowson and husband Nelson of Vidalia; two sisters, Charlott Kay Whitaker and husband Lonnie, and Teresa Strickland and husband Hayward; one brother, James Gary Bridges and wife Sandy of Alabama; two grandchildren, Logan Wood and Lillianna Wood, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 5th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lyons Holiness Church with Pastor Donny Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Glenwood City Cemetery.
