Ms. Sharon L. Taylor, age 70, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after an extended illness. She was born April 14, 1949, in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Jacob Henry Hoskins, Sr. and Elsie Louise Foster Hoskins. She grew up in Palatka, Florida and has lived in Toombs County since 1967. She worked with Toombs County Manufacturing in Lyons for several years and retired from Tumi Luggage in the Research and Development Department. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vidalia, and she enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her fur baby, Sam. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Missy Taylor.
Ms. Taylor is survived by three sons, Lee Taylor, Alex Taylor and wife Emily, and William Taylor and wife Lesley, all of Vidalia; one sister, Lenora “Kitty” Stoeffler of Gulfport, Mississippi; one brother, Jacob H. Hoskins, Jr. of Augusta; two grandchildren, Justin Taylor and wife Katie of Collins, and Trey Monroe and wife Brittney of Cadillac, Michigan; three great-grandchildren, Remington Nicole Monroe, Waylon Bruce Taylor and Elizabeth Hope Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.
