Sharon Bledsoe Obituary

 

Mrs. Sharon Baker Bledsoe, age 65, of Vidalia, died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of Nashville, Indiana, moving to Lakeland, Florida in the late 1960’s, later moving to Bartow Florida and graduating high school there in 1973.  She earned an Associate degree in Marketing Management from Tampa College.  She was a certified medical assistant, and was Pentecostal by faith.  She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains, planting flowers and shopping.  Sharon was full of humor with a heart of gold.  She is preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Michelle Baker; parents, Martin Clayton Baker and Martha Irene Lucas Baker; and three siblings, Bonnie Smith, Dean Baker, and Roger Baker.

Her family includes her husband of forty-six years, Steve C. Bledsoe; three children, Linda Grimes and husband Richard, all of Vidalia, Angie Luke and fiancé J.R. Fields of the Cobb Creek Community, and Anthony Bledsoe and wife Megan of the Center Community; six siblings, Gloria Weeks and husband Milton, Kathy Blankenship and husband Stanley, Linda Collins and husband Mark, Larry Baker and wife Linda, Sheila Mussellwhite, and Roger Baker, Jr.; grandchildren, Kortney, Brandon and wife Mikayla, Trevor and wife Jade, Ashton, Karson, Presley, Austin and wife Brittany, Cayden, Lil Ricky, Addy, Colton, and Owen; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Elijah; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
