Mrs. Sastine Edge Bell, age 83, of Uvalda, died Monday, April 12th, 2021, at Community Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Swainsboro, moving to Orlando, Florida, later living in Twin City and Higgston, and has lived in Uvalda for the last 5 years. She was a homemaker and attended Cedar Crossing Church of God and Rock Springs Holiness Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Woodrow Edge and Yvonney Faircloth Edge; and siblings Nellie Coleman, Bill Edge and Buddy Edge.
Survivors include five children, Lola Jean Padley of Clarkesville, Lee Bell and Thurman Bell, both of Uvalda, Grady O. “Cowboy” Bell of Baxley, and Mary Bell of Gray’s Landing; siblings, Virgil Edge and wife Mary of Wrightsville, Charles Edge and wife Earlene of Alston, Truman Edge of McNatt Falls, Carlene Hitchcock of Brunswick, and Minnie Ruffin of Griffin.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until just prior to the service.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, April 16th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor Kenneth Edge officiating.
