Sally Mosley Thompson, age 80, of Faulkville Community in Effingham County, died, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Hospice Savannah after an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County and grew up in Vidalia. She attended Vidalia High School, and then moved to Savannah for a few years before moving to Faulkville where she lived most her life. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Sally enjoyed sewing, reading and vegetable gardening. She is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marcy Lynn Thompson; her parents, Sherman Mosley and Estelle Smith Mosley; sister, Iona Mosley McNatt; and brother, Charles Mosley.
Her family includes her husband of fifty-five years, Marvin R. Thompson of Faulkville; two daughters, Cindy Mead Skaggs and husband Jim, and Lisa Mead Conley and husband Mark, all of Brooklet; one brother, Julius Mosley and wife Louise of Vidalia; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, March 8th in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 11:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 12:00 noon with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.
