Mr. Russell Ray “Peanut” Langston, age 57, of Uvalda, died Monday, March 3, 2025, at his home. He was a native of Toombs County living all of his life in Uvalda. He attended Toombs Central School. He was a self-employed carpenter and also worked with Willis Construction. He enjoyed tinkering and fishing, but he especially loved his family and his life on the river. He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Langston and Melba Jean Willis Langston; two brothers, Roy Lee Langston and Gary Wade “Little Bit” Langston.
His family includes two sisters, Carolyn Patrick and husband Ray of Vidalia, and Vickie Langston of Toomsboro; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
