Mrs. Ruby Lois Johnson Wittman, age 91, of Uvalda, died Friday, November 28, 2025, at The Oaks Bethany in Vidalia. She was a native of Toombs County, growing up in the Johnson Corner Community, and she graduated from Lyons High School in 1952. In 1955, she moved to New York, living there until moving to Pinellas County, Florida in 1975 before back to Uvalda in 2015. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed animals, especially her dogs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Wittman; parents, George Wright Johnson and Dorothy Wiggins Johnson and seven siblings.
She is survived by six children, Karen Aguilar and husband Herb, Larry Dellavecchia and wife Brenda, Craig Dellavecchia, Robin Dellavecchia, Sherry Dellavecchia, and Rebecca Wittman; one brother, Brent Johnson and wife Rosita; one sister, Myrl Gosa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at 12:30 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
