Roy A. Williamson

Mr. Roy A. Williamson, age 74, of Nicholls, died Friday, October 31, 2025, at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross following an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County, growing up in Vidalia and was a 1969 graduate of Vidalia High School. He attended North Georgia Technical College in Clarksville. Previously, Mr. Williamson worked with Bell South and retired after more than twenty years as an inspector with Georgia Power. He has lived in Coffee County since 1988.

He is preceded in death by a son, Micah Matthew Williamson; parents, Ben D. Williamson and Katherine Allmond Williamson; and two brothers, Ray Mathew Williamson and James “Ronnie” Williamson.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Lott Williamson of Nicholls; one brother, Donald Williamson of Vidalia; two sisters-in-law, Joyce E. Williamson of Vidalia, and Mary Lynn Lott of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, November 4, 2025, at 11:00 at Williamson Cemetery in Kibbee with Randy McDuffie officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Satilla Hospice Foundation, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
