Mr. Ronny Moss, age 79, of Lyons, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Telfair County, and lived in Toombs County most of his life. He was a 1961 graduate of Vidalia High School, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a projectionist at the Brice Cinema in Vidalia, was Corporate Sales Manager for Reynolds Fasteners for many years, and more recently worked with Phillips Pharmacy in Vidalia. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vidalia and the Men’s Bible Class; and he attended Vidalia Church of God. He was a Georgia Tech and NASCAR fan, and was an avid poker player. He is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Shane Moss; parents, Clyde Elza Moss and Eva Mae Harville Moss; and a brother, Davy Moss.
Survivors include seven children, Ronda Moss of Winder, Craig Moss and wife Jen of Loganville, Randy Moss of Suwanee, Alan Moss and wife Rebekah of Seattle, Washington, Brian Mahaffey of Fayetteville, Danielle Moss and fiancé James Jones, Jr., and Samantha Sellers and husband James, all of Vidalia; one sister, Barbara “Jo” Miller of Lyons; eight grandchildren, Susannah, Ava Rose, Ethan, Lilly, Herschel, Mia, Aleister, and Parker; and three nieces.
A graveside funeral service will be Friday, May 14th, at 4:00 p.m. at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend David Blalock officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Friday afternoon from 3:00 until just prior to the service.
