Ronnie Gray

Mr. William Ronald “Ronnie” Gray, age 67, of Alston, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, following an extended illness.  He was a native of Montgomery County, living in Alston most of his life, and was a 1975 graduate of Montgomery County High School.  He was a welder and electrician, doing contract work throughout his life all over the southeastern U.S.  Ronnie was an avid Georgia Football fan, he was selfless, he loved to make people laugh, and he cherished spending time with family and his grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William Burl Gray and Sara Nell Cartrette Gray; and a nephew, Brandon Clark.

His family includes two children, Spencer Lee Gray and wife Chasity of Vidalia, and Whitney Sierra Gray of the Normantown Community; five grandchildren, Parker McCoy, Brailey Branch, Brooke Poole, Brynlee Poole, and Noah Gray; two sisters, Regina Gray Smith of Alston, and Tammie Gray Calhoun and husband Steve of Uvalda; one brother, David Gray of Alston; nieces and nephew, Kelly Wingate, Brandy Gray, Kayla O’Neal, Kasey Sellers, and Kristin Altman.

A graveside memorial service will be Monday afternoon October 21st, 2024, at 2:00 at Galbreath Cemetery.

The family will assemble at the residence of the daughter, Whitney, 2953 Old Normantown Road, Vidalia.
