Ronald Max Phillips Obituary

Mr. Ronald Max Phillips, age 63, of Oak Park, died Saturday, May 5, 2023, at his home after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Emanuel County and lived near Oak Park all of his life.  He attended Oak Park School and Swainsboro High School, and was a graduate of Swainsboro Tech, earning certifications in electrical and welding.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads, cooking, grilling, and taking care of his several dogs through the years.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Jerome Phillips and Jerolene Hutcheson Phillips; and two siblings, Ann Phillips Beckum and Charlie M. Phillips.

His family includes three sisters, Judy Phillips Mosley and husband Clyde, Cathy Phillips Messex and husband Thomas, all of Oak Park, and Jenny Barwick and husband James of Vidalia; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, May 8th, at 12:00 noon at Phillips Family Cemetery near Oak Park with his nephew, Pastor Robert Beckum officiating.
