Mr. Robert E. “Robbie” Heath, Sr. (USNR), age 62, of Vidalia, died Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Tattnall County, growing up in Collins, and he was a 1980 graduate of Reidsville High School. Soon after high school, he entered the U.S. Navy, retiring after twenty years from the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida, serving on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier. He later moved to Vidalia and worked at Wal-Mart in Vidalia for nine years. He was a member of Vidalia Advent Christian Church. Robbie enjoyed the outdoors, sitting by a fire, yard work, and doing countless projects around the house. He is preceded in death by his father, Freddy Heath and mother, Rose Conner.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Wilt Heath; one daughter, Cierra Howell, both of Vidalia; one son, Robbie E. Heath II and wife Amber of Huntsville, Alabama; one brother, Bengie Jacobs and wife Angela of Goldsboro, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Summur Howell, Morrigan Howell, Nikolai E. Heath, and Amaya Heath; sister-in-law, Kathy Leggett of Vidalia; two nieces, Alley Leggett and Albin Aguilar of Ocoee, Florida, and Kimberly Allard and husband Cameron of Axtell, Nebraska; one nephew, Phillip Leggett and wife Nikki of Aline; and one great-niece, Rowan Allard.
The funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon, July 21st, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Hutcheson officiating. Burial will follow at Reedy Creek Full Gospel Church Cemetery with U.S. Navy Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
