Ricky Dean Peebles, age 61, of Rackettown Community, died Monday, September 26, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Rackettown Community. He worked for Air Supply as a truck driver and also with SD Sales for twenty years. He was currently working with the Toombs County Convenience Center at Normantown. He attended Faith Assembly of God in Lyons and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in Mt. Vernon. He enjoyed cutting grass, rebuilding Big Red wagons and collecting Matchbox cars. He is preceded in death by his wife, Denise Peebles; parents, Nick Peebles and Eudene Williamson Peebles; and an infant brother, James Keith Peebles.
His family includes his seven siblings, Garland Peebles and wife Tina of Rackettown, Penny Haligan and husband Mike of Petross Community, Corbie Shaw and husband Ricky of Rackettown, Trellis Peebles of Soperton, Donnie Peebles and wife Andrea of Marietta, Wynoka Peebles, and Cherry Peebles; and several nieces and nephews, including Chris Peebles of Rackettown.
The funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, September 28th, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Akins and Pastor Don Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Pendleton Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
