Ricky Odom

Mr. Ricky Odom, age 64, of Vidalia, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at his home, after an extended illness.  He was a native of Forest Park, lived in Toombs County most of his life, and was a 1972 graduate of Lyons Senior High School.  He was a builder and carpenter and was owner of Odom Construction Company.  Also, he worked at Plant Vogtle and was a member of Carpenters Union #256 for several years.  He attended the Oasis Church of God in Lyons.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Riley Reed Odom and his parents, Woodrow William Odom and Ollie Mae Rhinehart Odom.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Vicky McCoy Odom of Vidalia; six children, Ronnie Bellflower and husband Mike of Vidalia, Miranda Campbell and husband Jamey of Lyons, Rick Odom and wife Connie of Lyons, Ryan Odom and wife Ashley of Vidalia, Lucinda Worthy and husband Alex of Lyons, and Jessica Whisnant and husband Frank of Lyons; thirteen grandchildren, Dylan, Calem, Braxton, Bailey, Chelsea, Dawson, JadyLyyn, Anna, Annsley, JezLyiana, Allie, Victoriana, Adyyn, and a granddaughter to be born in August, PaizLyiana; four great-grandchildren; and his father-in-law Cecil McCoy of Vidalia.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Bishop Gilbert Wommack officiating.  Burial will follow later in the Odom Cemetery near Lyons.  You are welcome to come casually dressed for the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00.
